FAQs

  • Yes, bookings are preferred. We have an easy-to-use online sign-up system on our website that allows you to complete electronic paperwork and waivers, set up payment, or purchase class packs. You can also do this at the gym; if so, please arrive 15 minutes before your class and complete the process on your mobile device. Some classes require a minimum number of participants, so it’s best to book in advance to secure your spot.

  • For hygiene and safety, all members must wear appropriate footwear to and around the gym and must remove shoes before stepping onto the mats.

  • Not at all. You are welcome to train in your own gi or no-gi attire — wearing Ascend-branded uniforms is optional.

  • Wearing a mouthguard is a personal choice. Instructors will not require it, but it’s recommended.

  • You may train as long as the wound is properly covered. Please prioritise the safety of yourself and others by minimising any risk of infection. Do not enter the gym if you show any signs of staph infection or illness.

  • No! For the safety and wellbeing of all members, you must not attend the gym if you are sick or showing any signs of illness.

  • Jiu-Jitsu Memberships are charged weekly, and additional class packs can be purchased anytime to suit your schedule.

  • Our mats are disinfected daily with hospital-grade cleaners. Hand sanitiser is available and we encourage members to use it regularly. Anyone feeling unwell should stay home until fully recovered. Training attire must be clean for each class. Shoes must be worn in the gym but never on the mats.
